WhatsApp Event Alerts

WhatsApp Event Alerts send a WhatsApp template message to an internal phone number whenever a chosen event happens in Flowcall. Use them to notify staff in real time — for example, ping a supervisor's phone the moment a new task is triggered.

You build a list of alerts on this page and click Save Alerts to store them all at once.

Configuring an alert

Each alert is a card with the following fields:

  • Event Type — what triggers the alert:
    • New Message — a new message arrives.
    • New Task Triggered — a task fires.
  • Task Event — shown only when the event type is New Task Triggered. Pick which task event should trigger the alert. Required for this event type.
  • Phone Number — the internal number to notify, entered with country code (for example +91...). As you add alerts, numbers you've already used are suggested for reuse. Required.
  • Template — the approved WhatsApp template to send. Only your available templates appear in the list. Required.

Managing the list

  • Add Alert — adds another alert card so you can notify multiple numbers or cover multiple events.
  • Delete (trash icon) — removes an alert. Available once you have more than one.
  • Save Alerts — stores the whole list. The button is disabled until every alert has its required fields filled in.

How it works

When a configured event occurs, Flowcall sends the selected WhatsApp template to the phone number on that alert. Templates come from your approved WhatsApp templates — the same ones used elsewhere for outbound messaging — so only approved templates can be selected here.
