Add a click-to-WhatsApp link to your website
Let website visitors start a WhatsApp conversation with your business in one click. Enter your WhatsApp number below, optionally add a suggested first message, and copy the generated script.
Install the script
- Copy the generated code.
- Open the HTML or website template used on every page where you want the link to appear.
- Paste the code just before the closing
</body>tag. - Publish your changes, then open the website and test the button on both a phone and a computer.
The script adds a floating Chat on WhatsApp link in the bottom-right corner. On phones it opens WhatsApp; on computers it opens WhatsApp Web or the installed desktop app. The visitor can review and edit the suggested message before sending it.
Look for a setting named Custom code, Footer code, or Code injection, and paste the script there. Make sure the builder allows JavaScript in <script> tags.
Phone number format
Use the full international number, including the country code. Do not include a domestic trunk prefix unless it is part of the international number. For example, enter +44 7700 900123, not 07700 900123.
Troubleshooting
- The button does not appear: confirm that the complete
<script>...</script>block was pasted before</body>and that your website builder allows custom JavaScript. - WhatsApp says the number is invalid: check that the country code is present and that the number is registered with WhatsApp.
- The message is missing: generate the snippet again after entering the starting message, then replace the old script on your website.
